The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), in collaboration with sister security agencies, staged a major Show of Force exercise across Accra on Thursday, December 11, 2025, to demonstrate their readiness to maintain peace and stability ahead of the festive season.
The coordinated operation commenced at the Black Star Square and moved through key locations, including Circle, Kaneshie, Weija, Kasoa, Tema, Ashaiman, and other adjoining routes within the Greater Accra Region.
Personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, and the Ghana Immigration Service took part in the exercise.

According to officials, the exercise was designed to boost operational readiness, deter criminal activity, and reassure the public of the agencies’ commitment to safeguarding national security during the busy holiday period.
They described the drill as a routine inter-agency training exercise aimed at strengthening collaboration and reinforcing a robust national security posture against potential threats.
The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Gyamfi, attended the exercise, alongside heads of the various participating security agencies.

Adom Online’s Joseph Odotei was on site to capture the scenes during the exercise.
