Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has said his team will approach their FA Cup clash with Future Stars with full determination, targeting a much-needed win to spark a turnaround in their season.
Kotoko, currently struggling for consistency in the Premier League, will face the lower-tier club in the Round of 64 of the 2025/26 FA Cup at Okese Park in Ejisu.
Ahead of the fixture, Zito acknowledged the team’s recent struggles but said the cup tie presents the perfect opportunity to restore confidence.
“This is a bigger opportunity for us to make amends and prove that we can turn things around,” he told the club’s media team.
“We start by fighting very hard to eliminate Future Stars. I know it will be difficult, but it’s not above Asante Kotoko.
“Our motivation is that we want to turn things around. We have to come all out and win this game to at least put a little smile on the face of our supporters,” he added.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
