Evangelist Richard Nyarko, a former inmate turned preacher, has given Ghanaians an update on the well-being of Nana Agradaa, stating that the imprisoned evangelist is coping well behind bars.
Nyarko, who spent approximately 20 years in prison before his release and now ministers to inmates, revealed that Agradaa, whose real name is Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, remains committed to her ministry even while incarcerated.
His comments contrast with recent remarks made by Appiah Biblical, who, during a court appearance on November 19, 2025, described Agradaa as appearing “pitiful” and noted that her current state left many in the courtroom visibly shocked.
“Agradaa came to court today. If you saw her, you would be stunned. Her appearance has completely changed, and everyone in the courtroom was shocked, including myself,” Biblical said.
Despite such observations, Evangelist Nyarko reassured the public that Agradaa is managing well in prison. Speaking to Channel One TV on November 30, 2025, he shared that he recently visited her and found her in good spirits, actively sharing the word of God with fellow inmates.
“Nana Agradaa is doing well in prison… she’s even preaching.” — Evangelist Richard Nyarko.

“Our sister Patricia is doing well by God’s grace. I saw her last Sunday…as scripture says, ‘before I was afflicted, I went astray.’ It’s surprising how God can use affliction to bring about transformation. I trust that the Lord will orchestrate her freedom in His time,” he stated.
Agradaa, founder of Heaven Way Champion International Church, has been serving a 15-year sentence with hard labour since July 3, 2025.
The Accra Circuit Court, presided over by Judge Evelyn Asamoah, convicted her on charges of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences.
The former traditional priestess-turned-evangelist was found guilty of defrauding multiple victims during a 2022 televised broadcast, claiming she had the power to double money. Her false promises convinced many to hand over large sums, expecting miraculous financial returns that never materialized.
