The nation mourns as the late Priscilla Nyamalor, one of six individuals who tragically lost their lives in the military recruitment stampede at El-Wak Sports Stadium, is being laid to rest today.

A video circulating on social media captures the heart-wrenching moment Priscilla’s mother broke down in grief. Overcome with sorrow, she was seen standing beside her daughter’s coffin, weeping uncontrollably.

In the one-minute clip shared on X, several people could be seen trying to comfort her after repeated unsuccessful attempts to console her.

The tragic event occurred on November 12, 2025, during a Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise. According to the GAF, the incident was triggered by an unexpected surge of applicants converging on the stadium.

Reports indicate that some applicants bypassed security measures and rushed the stadium gates ahead of the scheduled start, resulting in chaos.

Several others sustained injuries, with some in critical condition following the stampede.
