Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohunu has urged officers of the Ghana Police Service to maintain high morale and intensify crime-fighting efforts, assuring them of strong government support.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony of newly acquired armoured vehicles on Thursday, December 4, the IGP commended personnel for their dedication while calling for renewed commitment as the country approaches the festive season.
“The government has done its part. I urge you to keep morale high, sustain the momentum, and let us forge ahead in our collective resolve to maintain peace,” he said.
IGP Yohunu also reassured the public of heightened police vigilance on roads and within communities, promising a safe environment for residents to carry out their activities without fear.
With Christmas approaching, he noted that comprehensive security arrangements are already in place and appealed to the public to support police operations by providing timely information.
“Before, during, and after the festivities, adequate measures have been put in place. Work with us by sharing information so we can keep our country one of the safest in the sub-region,” he added.
