Police in Agona Swedru have arrested a Nigerian national suspected of sexually abusing multiple victims after luring them with small cash incentives and food at Gomoa Ekwankrom in the Central Region.
The arrest followed a complaint from a 23-year-old man, who reported that the suspect had invited him under the pretense of offering assistance, only to subject him to sexual assault.
During investigations, officers identified a second victim, a 12-year-old boy, who also confirmed being abused.
Police say a third potential victim, a teenage boy who had reportedly travelled from Kasoa after being enticed with similar offers, managed to escape moments before the suspect was apprehended.
Residents of Gomoa Ekwankrom have expressed shock at the incident, calling for increased community vigilance and stronger protective measures for teenagers.
