The Kunamas Jama Group of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Agona Swedru has earned major recognition at the 2025 Central Music Awards.

They picked up two honours: Best Fanbase of the Year and Best Live Band of the Year.

The vibrant group, made up entirely of fire personnel, has become a public favourite for using music and energetic performances to promote fire safety education.

Their creative approach has taken them beyond community engagements to major media platforms, including Joy Prime.

Municipal Fire Commander DOII Abdul Wasiu Hudu expressed gratitude to the award organisers for recognising the group’s efforts, and to the GNFS management for supporting the team’s innovative strategy of blending entertainment with public safety education.

According to him, the win reflects the Service’s growing commitment to adopting unconventional but effective methods to reach the public with essential safety messages.

The awards spotlight the Kunamas Jama Group as a symbol of creativity, service, and modern public engagement within the fire service.
