The National Peace Council (NPC) is set to launch a peace education programme in Senior High Schools as part of its 2025 capacity development and advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence among young people.

In an official invitation to JoyNews and other media outlets, the Council announced that the first engagement will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Christian Methodist Senior High School in New Aplaku near Weija, starting at 11:30 a.m.

The NPC said the initiative seeks to instil values of peace, tolerance, and nonviolent conflict resolution in students.

It added that equipping young people with these skills is essential to building a harmonious society and preventing violence before it occurs.
