Pan-African Savings and Loans has reaffirmed its commitment to community development with a donation to the 31st December Early Childhood Day Care Centre, located within the Tudu Market in Accra.

The Centre, which supports market women by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children, received two television sets, toy cars, and assorted learning materials to enhance both educational and recreational activities.

Presenting the items on behalf of the institution, Mr Meshack Botchway, Branch Manager of Pan-African Tudu, explained that the initiative was inspired by a local radio appeal.

“We heard the Centre’s appeal for assistance on the radio and immediately felt compelled to reach out. This Centre supports hardworking market women who contribute significantly to our local economy. By helping to improve the learning and play environment for their children, we are strengthening the foundation of the next generation. Pan-African is proud to support this initiative and remains committed to uplifting the communities around us,” he said.

Madam Mercy Afrowa Needjan, Headmistress of the Day Care Centre and President of the Greater Accra Markets Association (GAMA), expressed her gratitude, noting that the donation would greatly enhance teaching delivery and engage the children in more interactive and stimulating learning activities. She thanked Pan-African Savings and Loans for recognising the Centre’s needs and stepping in at the right time.

Speaking on the broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, Ms Linda Naykene, Head of Corporate Relations and Marketing, emphasised that the support aligns with Pan-African’s long-term commitment to social impact.

“Our CSR focus centres on education, financial empowerment, and community wellbeing. Supporting this day care centre reflects our belief that strong communities begin with strong foundations. We are intentional about initiatives that create real impact, especially for women, children, and vulnerable groups. This donation is one of the many ways we contribute to sustainable community development,” she said.
