The Teshie-bound lane of the Kpeshie Bridge has been fully reopened to motorists, the Minister for Roads, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has announced, restoring smooth traffic flow along the busy corridor.

The upgraded stretch forms part of the broader La–Teshie Beach Road Project and has now been completed and handed over for public use. Mr Agbodza confirmed the reopening in a post on X on 28 November 2025.

Commuters, who had endured years of inconvenience while forced to use a temporary bailey bridge, welcomed the announcement.

The renewed works on the Kpeshie Bridge, which resumed in November after long delays attributed to the former Akufo-Addo administration, have provided significant relief to the thousands of drivers who rely on the route daily.

The bridge upgrade is a key component of the Accra–Tema Beach Road Expansion Project, aimed at improving mobility and reducing congestion along the coastal corridor.
