Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani believes his side can become even more dangerous from set pieces after edging Vision FC 1–0 on Saturday.
The Phobians returned to winning ways at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium thanks to a 41st-minute header from Mawuli Wayo. The well-rehearsed routine proved decisive in a tight encounter, leaving Dramani pleased with the team’s execution.
He emphasised that free-kick efficiency has become a crucial part of the modern game, particularly in tight matches where open-play opportunities are limited.
“Our trump card is also working on the set pieces because the set pieces game has become very fundamental in the modern trends, and so when the game becomes so tight, you can rely on set pieces to open up,” the former Black Stars assistant coach said.
“I think that we should have scored even more than two from our set-piece play,” Didi Dramani added.
The victory lifts Hearts of Oak to fourth place with 21 points. They now travel north to face Karela United in a Matchday 13 clash at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
