A woman identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @chubbiedivah, who falsely accused Nigerian musician Rudeboy (Paul Okoye of P-Square) of rape, has been formally charged after a dramatic attempt to evade justice.
According to reports, she deleted her X account and allegedly fled her marital home shortly after the allegation was exposed as false. She was later arrested on November 6, 2025, detained, and subsequently charged on November 10.
Sources close to the case say Rudeboy chose not to publicise her arrest to prevent generating public sympathy that could influence the legal process.
Her troubles deepened when, less than 24 hours into detention, she reportedly complained of difficulty breathing and swollen legs, prompting her lawyers to request urgent medical care. She was released on compassionate grounds with a commitment to return to court on November 10, but she failed to do so.
Her lawyer later claimed she was still receiving medical treatment, forcing the court to adjourn the case to November 17. Once again, she did not appear, with the same explanation provided.
The case has now been rescheduled to December 1, 2025, with the court issuing a firm directive that either the accused or her legal representative must appear without fail.
The matter continues to draw significant attention across social media, as many await the court’s next move in what has become one of the year’s most controversial false-rape allegation cases.
