The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council has confirmed a shooting incident at a funeral in Obuasi on Saturday, November 29, 2025, which left Nana Okofo Kwabena Bonsu, the Adanse Dompoasehene, injured.

According to the Council, a 30-year-old suspect, identified as Nana Yaw Dankwa, discharged a firearm during the ceremony. Police officers intervened immediately and arrested the suspect, who is currently assisting with investigations.
