One person has been injured while three others escaped unhurt in an accident on the Akatsi bypass in the Volta Region.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the crash occurred on Friday, November 28, 2025, and involved a Hyundai Elantra Touring with registration number DV 6502Z-25 and an Opel Astra with registration number GT 6464-W.

Personnel from the Akatsi Fire Station swiftly responded to the scene, and upon their arrival, the injured victim had already been rescued and taken to the Akatsi Municipal Hospital for treatment.

The three other occupants were assessed and found to be uninjured.

Fire personnel quickly secured the area to prevent further risks. Their efforts included stabilising the vehicles, managing traffic along the bypass, and ensuring the damaged cars were removed from the road to avert additional accidents.

The GNFS said the coordinated actions of its crew not only protected the victims but also helped maintain safety and order on the busy stretch.
