The Hart Foundation, a United States–based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has honoured Adom News’ Ahafo Region Correspondent, Sammy Asare, for his exceptional dedication to reporting on health-related issues.

At a brief ceremony in Goaso—attended by chiefs, former and current regional ministers, health practitioners, staff of the Hart Foundation, and officials of the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council—a certificate of achievement signed by the President of the Foundation was presented to Mr. Asare.

The Foundation noted that Sammy Asare’s health reports in 2025 were outstanding and significantly highlighted the activities and challenges of numerous health facilities in the region.

According to the Hart Foundation, which has been in the region for a week offering free medical services and other humanitarian support, Mr. Asare’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to health journalism have been exceptional.

The organisation said the recognition is intended to celebrate him and encourage him to continue his impactful work.
