Zipline Ghana has disclosed that it is in ongoing discussions with the government to recover outstanding payments exceeding GH¢174 million for 2025.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, Zipline Country Director Daniel Kwaku Merki expressed optimism about reaching a resolution.
“Ultimately, we aim to resolve this matter so that we can continue delivering services to all Ghanaians. Our goal is to maintain a financially sustainable operation, which requires a partnership with the government to support its healthcare mandate,” he said.
The announcement follows concerns raised by the Parliamentary Minority on 25th November 2025 that the unpaid debt could force the medical drone delivery company to close three of its operational centres.
The caucus cautioned that such closures could disrupt the delivery of blood, vaccines, and other essential medical supplies—particularly to remote communities—posing a significant threat to public health.
