Hearts of Oak will play the remainder of their home matches in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Stadium, following the club’s decision to abandon the Accra Sports Stadium.

While the club has yet to provide an official explanation, the move comes amid growing pressure from supporters who have long called for a switch from the Accra venue.

Home form has been a major concern for the Phobians this season, fueling frustration among fans. The record FA Cup holders are currently the league’s second-worst home performers, having collected only six points from five matches.

Their sole home victory was a narrow 1-0 win over bottom-side Techiman Eleven Wonders. They have also suffered a defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko and drawn the remaining fixtures.

Hearts of Oak will make their debut at the new home ground on Saturday, November 29, 2025, when they host Vision FC.
