The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in collaboration with the Ghana National Ambulance Service (GNAS), has marked the passing-out ceremony of the final cohort of Community Medical First Responders (CMFR) at the National Ambulance Training Centre in Nkenkaaso, Ashanti Region.

The ceremony celebrates a key milestone in improving nationwide access to timely emergency care, particularly in underserved and remote communities.

Led by YEA Chief Executive Officer Malik Basintale, the CMFR initiative equips young people with critical lifesaving skills, empowering them to contribute directly to national development.

The newly trained responders are now ready to provide pre-hospital emergency care across Ghana, with a focus on areas where immediate medical assistance is often limited.

The YEA commended the graduates for their dedication during the training period and praised GNAS for its professionalism and continued partnership in the programme.

Both institutions believe that this milestone strengthens Ghana’s emergency response system and highlights the vital role of youth in serving their communities.
