Musician Kweku Flick has expressed disappointment after his performance was unexpectedly cut short during Wendy Shay’s recent concert, calling the incident disrespectful and unnecessary.
In a statement shared on social media, the “Money” hitmaker said he initially refrained from reacting out of respect for Wendy Shay but felt compelled to speak out against what he sees as a recurring problem in the music industry.
Flick explained that an operator terminated his set while the crowd was actively enjoying the performance. Having flown from Kumasi to support the show, he described the interruption as deeply disappointing.
“Next time, if that thing happens again, some people no go see me well. I’m calm, but that doesn’t mean I should be disrespected,” he warned.
“This is not the first and last concert on earth, and it’s something that has been happening to so many great artists. It shouldn’t happen anywhere again,” he added.
Despite his frustration, Flick congratulated Wendy Shay on a successful show and clarified that his concerns extend beyond her event.
