Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has shed light on his difficult spell at Eleven Wonders, revealing that he has “a lot to say” about the club but has chosen to remain silent for now.

His remarks come after veteran coach J.E. Sarpong, who left the team after less than a month, alleged that players were poorly fed, relied on public transport to attend training, and were owed several months’ salaries.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Odartey Lamptey distanced himself from the club’s on-field struggles and suggested that the problems at Eleven Wonders are far deeper than what has been made public.

“The challenges of Eleven Wonders were not down to me, and the players are aware of that. Whatever I know in the game, I applied it to save the club,” he said.

“If I tell you what I did for the club, you would be surprised. That is why I have decided to stay mute—because the club should know better.”

He strongly hinted that J.E. Sarpong’s revelations represent only a fraction of the club’s internal issues.

“With whatever J.E. Sarpong has said, I have billions of them. But to me, it is not necessary to talk. I am happy an experienced coach like J.E. Sarpong has come out to say these things after working with the club for just three weeks. It tells you something is wrong somewhere,” he noted.

“I just hope the wrongs will be corrected so that the players can perform well, because at the end of the day, it is Ghana football that will suffer.”

Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with just three points from 11 games and are yet to record a win. They will seek their first victory of the season when they host Dreams FC in Matchday 12 at the University of Ghana Stadium this weekend.
