Popular Nigerian actor and content creator Odira Nwobu has reportedly passed away in South Africa after suffering a series of health complications during a business trip.
According to initial reports, the actor had travelled to South Africa with colleague Daddy Billy when he began experiencing troubling health symptoms.
Three days before his death, Nwobu reportedly suffered episodes of rapid and irregular heartbeat. He was taken to a pharmacist, who detected dangerously high blood pressure and administered emergency medication to stabilize him.
Although his condition briefly improved, he continued to experience weakness and difficulty walking. His team later decided to cut their engagements short so he could return home to rest.
However, at dawn on the day he died, Nwobu is said to have suffered another severe episode as his heart began pounding intensely. An ambulance was called, but despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
His sudden passing has left the Nollywood community and fans across the continent in shock. Many remember him for his comedic skits, vibrant personality and strong presence on social media.
