The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has charged Asante Kotoko over a social media post disputing a refereeing decision during their goalless draw with FC Samartex on Sunday in Matchday 11.
The Porcupine Warriors took to X to protest a penalty awarded to the hosts, claiming the foul occurred outside the box. The post read: “Referee Aduntera has awarded a penalty for a foul outside the box.”
The GFA stated that the post had the potential to incite hostility toward match officials and violated Section 34(6)(d) of the Premier League Regulations.
Asante Kotoko has been given until Wednesday, November 26, 2025, to submit their defence.
The club secured a point from the encounter at Samreboi and remain fourth on the Premier League table.
