The Asutifi South District Assembly in the Ahafo Region has presented various support items to 75 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) as part of efforts to enhance their livelihoods.

At a short ceremony in Dadiesoaba, beneficiaries received items including deep freezers, bags of charcoal, rice, cooking oil, wheelchairs, hair dryers, boxes of tin tomatoes, and other supplies.

The District Chief Executive, Benjamin Assabil Donkor, told Adom News that the initiative is aimed at helping PWDs improve their economic conditions and urged them to take the opportunity seriously.

He explained that the assembly has put monitoring systems in place to ensure the items are put to proper use and cautioned that anyone who mismanages the support will face consequences.

The Chairman of the PWDs in the district, Larry Charles Mensah, joined by a beneficiary, Charity, expressed gratitude to the assembly for the gesture.

They assured that the items would be used responsibly and in line with the guidance provided to help transform their lives.
