Some former constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Mfantseman Constituency have announced their collective support for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his visit to the area.
Out of 47 former executives, 37 publicly declared their intention to back Dr. Bawumia ahead of the 2026 presidential primaries.
Speaking on behalf of the group, a former Deputy Secretary, Benjamin Benson, expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and vision for the country.
He noted that the former executives had carefully assessed the current political landscape and believed that rallying behind Dr. Bawumia was in the best interest of both the constituency and the nation.
“Those of us gathered here are former constituency executives, and we have decided to throw our support behind Dr. Bawumia to secure a massive victory in Mfantseman and ultimately across Ghana in 2028,” he said.
