The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a warning for possible isolated thunderstorms across parts of the Ashanti Region and neighbouring areas from midday into the evening.
According to the agency’s 24-hour forecast, early morning mist and fog may reduce visibility in sections of the coastal, forest, and hilly zones.
As the day progresses and conditions clear, rain-bearing clouds are expected to form over parts of the middle belt, including Ashanti, increasing the likelihood of thunderstorms, particularly around Kumasi, Obuasi, Koforidua, Akim Oda, and nearby transition-belt communities.
Meanwhile, northern Ghana is expected to remain fairly dry with slight haze, while southern areas will experience bright and sunny weather once the morning fog lifts.
The Meteorological Agency has advised residents and commuters in the Ashanti enclave to remain vigilant for sudden weather changes, especially those travelling or working outdoors.
