GNFS saves 3-bedroom house at Larteh Akuapem

-

A prompt response from firefighters at the Larteh Fire Station averted a potentially disastrous incident after a three-bedroom self-contained house caught fire on Tuesday.

Officials said they received an emergency call from the landlady, reporting that flames had consumed parts of the building.

A five-member firefighting crew was dispatched within three minutes and arrived to find the house heavily engulfed in flames and thick smoke.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the fire originated on the porch, although the exact cause remains under investigation.

Firefighters quickly forced entry, conducted a thorough search to ensure no occupants were trapped, and used water to cool and extinguish the fire.

The blaze was fully brought under control shortly afterward. Officers then carried out ventilation and overhaul operations to clear lingering smoke and prevent any risk of reignition.
