-

The prestigious Milo U-13 Champions League has made a highly anticipated return after a five-year break, with more than 100,000 schoolchildren from all 16 regions expected to battle for honours at the regional and national levels.

This year’s national finals are scheduled to take place at Paa Joe Park, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, from Tuesday, December 2 to Saturday, December 6, 2025.

A major highlight of the launch was the unveiling of the 2025 tournament ambassadors, former Black Stars captains Stephen Appiah and André Ayew.

The event drew officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and several development partners.

Speaking to Adom News, Salome Azevedo, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana, urged all schools across the country to participate in the championship.

“The Milo U-13 Champions League is not just a football tournament. It is a platform to discover, develop, and empower young talents across Ghana. We encourage every school to participate and give their children the opportunity to shine,” she said.

Ambassador André Ayew, who expressed pride in being selected as a brand icon for the tournament, described the championship as a powerful tool for youth development.

“This tournament is a place where dreams begin. It builds confidence, shapes character, and nurtures the next generation of football stars. I am honoured to be part of a program that has impacted so many young lives,” Ayew stated.

Organised by Nestlé Ghana Ltd. in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and endorsed by the Ghana Football Association, this year’s competition will feature boys and girls aged 9 to 13, representing their regions in a bid to showcase their talent.

The championship will be held in three phases: District, Zonal, and the National Finals, culminating in the grand showdown in Kumasi.
