The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region has undertaken efforts to enhance road safety and mitigate the risk of accidents resulting from deteriorating road conditions.

Salifu Braima, the Dormaa East Director of NADMO, along with his team, has initiated a proactive effort, financially supported by their Member of Parliament and District Chief Executive.

This initiative aims to address the prevalent issue of potholes on the Asuotiano to Nsesresu road and the Akontanim to Kyeremasu stretch.

Mr. Braima emphasized that the NADMO team patched these hazardous potholes, which have been identified as significant contributors to road accidents.

He stressed that the effort prioritizes the well-being and safety of both drivers and pedestrians, with the expectation that the intervention will not only reduce accidents but also enhance the overall infrastructure, ensuring that the roads are safer and more reliable for all users.

Mr. Braimah Salifu further elaborated that, as part of their initiative to raise awareness among the community regarding disaster prevention and management, they have undertaken a tree-planting exercise across various schools in the Dormaa East district.

This initiative aims to protect the schools from disasters caused by strong winds while also enhancing the beauty of the school environments.
