The Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, has called on police officers in the region to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties and intensify efforts to enhance security for residents.
Speaking at the West African Security Services Association (WASSA) annual get-together held in Goaso, Madam Gardiner commended the police for their dedication but urged them to continue building public trust through fairness and discipline.
“Police officers must demonstrate professionalism at all times to ensure that everyone is treated fairly. When law enforcement operates with integrity, it boosts confidence and creates an enabling environment for development,” she stated.
The Regional Minister, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), emphasized that a secure region attracts investors, which in turn supports government efforts to accelerate development.
She assured that under her leadership, the Regional Coordinating Council will work closely with the police to ensure they receive the logistics and support needed to carry out their duties effectively.
Madam Gardiner also praised the Ahafo Regional Police Commander, ACP James Annor, for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
As part of the WASSA celebration, several officers were honored for their commitment and outstanding service in promoting safety and protecting lives in the region.
