The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued an alert cautioning the public about an approaching rainstorm originating from Nigeria and Benin, expected to move westward into Ghana in the coming hours.
According to the Agency, the storm is likely to bring extensive cloud cover, thunderstorms, and rainfall of varying intensities across several parts of the country.
GMet further indicated that the rainstorm may be accompanied by moderate to strong winds, which could threaten lives, damage property, and disrupt outdoor activities.
It also advised residents in low-lying and flood-prone areas to remain vigilant, as localized flooding could occur due to the expected downpour.
The Agency encouraged the public to stay updated through official weather channels and take necessary safety precautions as the storm approaches.
