Shenmo Ghana will proudly represent the country at the upcoming 2nd African Shenmo Cup, a prestigious Pan-African abacus mental math competition and cultural exchange program to be held from October 18 to 19, 2025, in Kigali, Rwanda.
The event is expected to draw more than 1,000 young math prodigies between the ages of 6 and 15 from 35 African nations, along with educators, parents, and guests from China, Malaysia, the United States, and Singapore.
Organized by Shenmo Rwanda and hosted under the auspices of the Shenmo Educational International Group based in Beijing, the competition is themed “Empowering Young Minds, Realizing Africa’s Dream.”
The Kigali edition promises a rich blend of mental math and abacus contests, cultural exchanges, learning workshops, and educational tours of key historical landmarks.
The gathering aims to promote unity among African youth, cultivate mathematical excellence, and underscore the value of cognitive development.
The Ghanaian contingent is scheduled to leave Accra on October 15 and return on October 22, carrying some of the country’s most gifted young minds in abacus and mental math.
The event will provide a platform for participants to demonstrate their abilities, share experiences, and learn from peers and educators across the continent and beyond.
