2026 WCQ: Black Stars arrive in Meknes for Central African Republic game

The Black Stars have arrived in Meknes for their penultimate 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic.

The senior national team had been camping in Casablanca since Sunday ahead of the Matchday 9 games against CAR.

The playing body, the technical team, together with officials of the team, left Casablanca on Tuesday morning for Meknes, where the game will be played.

During their time in Casablanca, the team held two training sessions at the Mohammed V Sports Complex.

The Black Stars will train at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes today, at 16:00 GMT, before facing the Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8, at 16:00 GMT.

After the game against Central African Republic, the Black Stars will return home on Thursday for the final game against Comoros on Sunday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars are chasing a fifth World Cup appearance, currently topping Group I with 19 points.

Ghana has previously featured in the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022 editions in Germany, South Africa, Brazil, and Qatar, respectively.
