Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah remains optimistic about his chances of breaking into the Black Stars, despite being left out of Otto Addo’s 24-man squad for the final games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
Amoah, who has been one of the standout performers for the Porcupine Warriors this season, failed to make the final list, a decision that has sparked debate among football fans who believe his recent form warranted inclusion.
Speaking after Kotoko’s goalless draw with Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, the former Great Olympics forward said he remains patient and focused.
“I feel okay, and I congratulate everyone who got called. They have the support of all of us here, and I know my time will come,” Amoah said.
For now, the in-form striker insists his priority is to keep delivering for Kotoko, both in domestic and continental competitions, as he continues to work toward a future Black Stars call-up.
Amoah will look to maintain his impressive run when Kotoko take on Bibiani GoldStars in an outstanding league fixture on Wednesday.
