Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul-Karim Zito says his side’s goalless draw with Heart of Lions represents progress in their performances.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a stalemate by the Kpando-based side in their Matchday 4 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Heart of Lions had dominated previous encounters between the two clubs, but Zito expressed satisfaction with the team’s display this time around.
“I’m okay with a point, it’s better than losing, but there is an improvement,” he said.
“We are not yet there, but there is an improvement…so it wasn’t bad”, while adding that the team will work to score more goals in subsequent games,” Zito added.
Asante Kotoko will now shift focus to their outstanding league game against Bibiani GoldStars, scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, at 19:00 GMT at DUN’s Park.
