Mohammed Kudus scores as Tottenham end Leeds United’s unbeaten home run

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus marked another stellar performance for Tottenham Hotspur, scoring his maiden goal for the club in a 2-1 victory over Leeds United that ended the home side’s 23-game unbeaten league run at Elland Road.

Kudus was at the heart of Spurs’ attack, first setting up the opener before netting the decisive goal in the second half.

Mathys Tel put Tottenham ahead in the 23rd minute with a deflected strike, but Noah Okafor levelled for Leeds before halftime with a close-range finish.

The defining moment came in the 57th minute when Kudus dazzled past Gabriel Gudmundsson on the right flank and rifled a low shot into the bottom-right corner beyond Karl Darlow, sealing all three points for the visitors.

The win pushes Tottenham up to second place, just a point behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, while Leeds United drop to 12th following their third defeat of the campaign.

Kudus’s impact has been immediate since joining Spurs, contributing one goal and four assists in seven league appearances this season.

The 23-year-old now turns his focus to international duty, as he joins the Black Stars for Ghana’s final two 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros during the upcoming international break.
