
The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested one person and recovered weapons following a violent clash between two rival groups at Simpa in the Nsuaem District.
The incident, which occurred on September 28, 2025, involved a group led by Daniel Cudjoe, alias Ato Asare, and another from Dadwen, led by suspects Alhassan and Abolo, who are currently on the run.
Police say the confrontation, which stemmed from the destruction of mining equipment, escalated into gunfire, leaving 23-year-old Emmanuel Cudjoe dead.
Exhibits retrieved from the scene include two pump-action guns, three machetes, four motorbikes, a tricycle, and regalia.
The Police Command has assured the public that investigations are ongoing and all suspects will be brought to justice.
