The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Goaso, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, has charged the newly inducted headmistress of Ola Girls’ Senior High School at Kenyasi in the Ahafo Region to ensure that discipline among students does not decline.
Speaking to Adom News during the induction ceremony, which was attended by traditional leaders, clergy, staff of the Ghana Education Service, parents, teachers and students, the Bishop said the school has long maintained a reputation for good discipline.

Unlike other institutions that have recorded cases of students attacking teachers, drug abuse, violent protests, and fighting with weapons, he said Ola Girls’ SHS has largely avoided such negative incidents.
He, therefore, urged the new headmistress to intensify measures that will protect and enhance the school’s image.
According to him, sustaining this standard requires collaboration with stakeholders, especially teaching and non-teaching staff.
“The headmistress can succeed only if she works closely with those who share responsibility for shaping the students,” Bishop Atuahene stressed.
Also speaking at the event, the Toprehene of Kenyasi No. 2, Nana Adu Sarpong, and the new headmistress, Beatrice Adongo, called for unity and support from all stakeholders.

They noted that teamwork, collective ideas, and a shared commitment to discipline and academic excellence will be crucial in moving the school forward.
