Pupils in Asunafo North and Asutifi South receive 3,000 exercise books

A non-governmental organization, Heels and Crowns, has donated 3,000 exercise books to 600 underprivileged pupils in the Asunafo North Municipality and Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region to enhance teaching and learning.

The beneficiary schools include Nana Bosomprah D/A and Islamic Basic in Asunafo North, as well as Kawntene L/A and Cocoa Station D/A in Asutifi South.

Each child, from kindergarten to junior high school, received five exercise books.

Speaking to Adom News, the President of Heels and Crowns, Miss Cynthia Gockel, explained that the donation followed assessments which revealed that many pupils in the selected schools struggled to attend classes regularly due to lack of basic learning materials.

She noted that the intervention was aimed at motivating children to stay in school and focus on their studies.

The Secretary of the NGO, Miss Rose Adwoa, added that the group remains committed to supporting women, children, and other vulnerable groups in the Ahafo Region.

She stressed that many families in the area face challenges meeting their educational needs, and the organization would continue to assist where possible.
