The Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Theophilus Dominic VonDee, has commented on the viral video allegedly involving the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST Senior High School, Charles Akwasi Aidoo, and a female student.
Speaking on Badwam Mpensenpensenmu on Adom TV, hosted by Akwasi Nsia, the legislator stated that the footage does not indicate that the girl was coerced.
“If you look at the video very carefully, sincerely, the man was not forcing the young girl,” Mr. VonDee said.
He added, “It is something I believe both the assistant headmaster and the young girl agreed on. There is nothing in the video that shows or suggests that he was forcing her. They both consented to be in that situation.”
Mr. VonDee clarified that his remarks were based solely on his observation of the video and were not intended to justify the actions of the school official.
“I am a realist; I don’t like saying things that are not what they are. I like to say things as they are. And sincerely, the man didn’t force the young girl,” he emphasized.
The video has gained wide circulation on social media, sparking public outrage and reigniting conversations about professionalism, discipline, and safeguarding within the education system.
