Grubi Holy Child Academy marks 20th anniversary, calls for greater youth investment

The Proprietor of Grubi Holy Child Academy, Mr. Denteh Ntoso Elijah, has called on the government and institutional leaders to intensify efforts in nurturing the next generation of professionals, emphasizing the pivotal role that education and mentorship play in national development.

Speaking at the school’s career day, which marked the climax of its 20th Anniversary celebrations held on the academy’s premises, Mr. Elijah highlighted the growing need for deliberate investment in youth development, particularly in leadership, innovation, and professional ethics.

“As educators and leaders, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are not just teaching students to pass exams, but preparing them to lead in their respective fields,” he stated. “Government agencies, corporate bodies, and educational institutions must collaborate to create structured programs that identify, guide, and support young talents.”

Mr. Elijah stressed that grooming young professionals should begin at the basic education level, where values such as discipline, responsibility, and critical thinking are first instilled.

He further appealed to the Ministry of Education to introduce mentorship and career guidance initiatives in schools nationwide, arguing that such programs would expose students to real-world experiences and inspire them to pursue careers that contribute meaningfully to national development.

Parents and community leaders were also encouraged to take a more active role in the upbringing and education of children, noting that the success of future professionals depends heavily on a supportive home and community environment.

The event was attended by teachers, students, parents, and local authorities, all of whom expressed support for the Proprietor’s vision of raising a generation of competent and responsible professionals.

Grubi Holy Child Academy continues to stand as a beacon of academic excellence in the Krachi Nchumuru District of the Oti Region, with a strong commitment to character development and holistic education.
