Kamaldeen Sulemana scores as Atalanta cruise past Torino

Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana delivered a sparkling performance on Sunday afternoon, scoring and assisting in Atalanta’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Montenegro striker Nikola Krstovic converted a fine through ball from Serbian playmaker Lazar Samardzic.

Four minutes later, Sulemana doubled the lead, reacting quickest to a loose ball inside the box to finish with precision.

The 24-year-old winger was not done yet. Moments later, he turned provider, setting up Krstovic for his second goal of the game to effectively seal the contest before half-time.

Sulemana was a constant menace to Torino’s defence, using his blistering pace and skill to stretch the backline throughout the match.

His standout display underlines his growing influence in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

The result lifts Atalanta to fifth place in Serie A with eight points from their opening four matches.

Sulemana and his teammates will now turn their attention to a high-profile clash against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday, September 27.
