Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has admitted his side’s mistakes proved costly in their 2-0 loss to Algerian giants JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
The Ghana Premier League outfit fell at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, conceding a goal in each half to hand the visitors a comfortable advantage ahead of the return fixture.
Reflecting on the performance, Manso conceded his players struggled to find their rhythm against their more experienced opponents.
“I think it was a difficult game, and we made too many mistakes in the first half,” he reflected post-match.
“To be frank, playing against such a team, if you start to lose passes in the midfield, you always find yourself wanting. So for me, especially in the first half, we didn’t play well,” he added.
GoldStars now face a daunting task in the second leg, where they must overturn the two-goal deficit in Algiers on Friday, September 26, to keep their Champions League campaign alive.
