A native of Denkyira, Homeopathic Doctor Nana Kofi Kwansa, has appealed to government to equip rural health facilities with essential diagnostic equipment to enhance healthcare delivery.
Speaking during a free medical outreach he organised in partnership with Root End Medical Center at Jukwa in the Hemang Lower Denkyira District, Dr Kwansa noted that most rural facilities, including the one at Jukwa, lack basic diagnostic tools.
This, he said, often forces patients to travel long distances to Cape Coast and other urban centres to access treatment.
“As a result, many rural residents are unable to get the medical attention they need. Equipping local facilities with diagnostic equipment will go a long way to improve healthcare delivery,” he stressed.
The outreach provided free medical screening and treatment, including physiotherapy, to residents of Jukwa and surrounding communities. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the medical team, describing it as their first time experiencing such advanced treatment with equipment like physiotherapy machines.
Dr Kwansa also urged government to consider integrating homeopathic treatment into public health facilities as part of efforts to expand healthcare options for Ghanaians.
