Ablakwa provides free chop boxes, mattresses for all fresh SHS students in North Tongu

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has once again extended support to students in his constituency by providing free chop boxes and mattresses to all 2,207 fresh Senior High School (SHS) students.

According to the MP, the initiative aims to ensure that no student is denied access to education due to financial constraints.

The beneficiaries are spread across the five Senior High Schools in the constituency. Mr. Ablakwa explained that the support forms part of a broader educational package designed to reduce school dropouts and ease the financial burden on parents.

“This is in line with the North Tongu tradition, where every student is guaranteed an equal opportunity to pursue education without unnecessary obstacles,” he said.

Beyond providing essentials, the MP revealed that major infrastructural projects are underway in the constituency’s senior high schools.

These include the construction of new mega dining halls and dormitory blocks to accommodate the growing student population.

Mr. Ablakwa expressed optimism that these measures will create a more conducive learning environment and ensure that all students, regardless of background, have the resources and facilities they need to succeed.
