Helicopter crash: Children Support Fund receives over GHS 3.57 million and US$20,000 in donations

The Presidency has announced that a total of GHS 3,576,600.00 and US$20,000.00 has so far been received in donations to the Children Support Fund, established to support the welfare of children of victims of the August 6 helicopter tragedy.

The latest update, covering contributions received between August 19 and 28, 2025, lists notable donors including Ghana Airport Ltd, ARB Apex Bank, STL Foundation, Fidelity Bank, ADB Bank, GLICO General Insurance, the National Insurance Commission, and several individuals.

According to the Presidency, donations continue to be accepted through dedicated accounts at Stanbic Bank Ghana. Weekly updates on contributions will be published to ensure transparency.

The Fund, coordinated by Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, seeks to guarantee sustained support for the affected children.
