Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has expressed his full support for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) most prepared and widely recognized candidate to lead the party into the 2028 general election.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, August 28, ahead of Dr. Bawumia’s filing of nomination forms to contest the NPP flagbearership, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah said Bawumia embodies the party’s conservative values and possesses the qualities needed to secure victory.
“Dr. Bawumia is the most prepared and most recognized candidate across the country, with the pedigree and track record to win in 2028 and govern in 2029,” he said on Citi News.
He added that having been the face of the NPP in the 2024 elections, Dr. Bawumia remains the party’s strongest option moving forward.
