Legon Sports Stadium confirmed as host for 2025 GHALCA Top 4 Tournament

The 2025 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Top 4 tournament has been shifted to the Legon Sports Stadium in Accra.

The change comes after the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi was deemed unfit to host matches, prompting an initial move to the Accra Sports Stadium.

However, with the Black Stars set to play their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Mali at the same venue next month, organisers have settled on Legon as the final host ground.

The competition, which features last season’s Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Heart of Lions, serves as a key preseason test ahead of the new campaign.

The tournament kicks off on Wednesday, August 20, with Hearts of Oak facing Heart of Lions in the opener. The final is scheduled for Sunday, August 24.

Meanwhile, both Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars will also use the Legon Sports Stadium to prepare for their CAF inter-club campaigns.
