
The Africa Governance Centre, organisers of the African Political Summit 2025, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) and the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
The MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening political governance frameworks across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.
Its key objectives include enhancing south-south collaboration among political parties, providing opportunities for resource exchange, enriching the capacity of African political parties, and collaborating on initiatives to improve politics and governance in Africa.
At the signing, COPPPAL was represented by H.E. Alejandro Moreno Cardenas, ICAPP by its Chairperson H.E. Chong Eui-Yong, and the Africa Governance Centre by its Executive Director, Prof Nelson Oppong, and Chairperson, Ms Benedicta Lasi.
The collaboration is expected to foster knowledge sharing, strategic initiatives, and stronger ties between African political parties and their counterparts in Asia and Latin America.
