We will spiritually probe helicopter crash – Ho Central NDC Chairman

The Ho Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Franklyn Gedzia, has expressed outrage over the recent Z9 military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians on national assignment, calling for a spiritual investigation into the tragedy.

Speaking to Adom News, Mr. Gedzia described the incident as not only a national disaster but also one that required deeper spiritual scrutiny.

According to him, beyond the ongoing technical and mechanical investigations, the nation must also explore spiritual perspectives to uncover hidden causes and prevent future occurrences.

“We are not very clear about the situation, but you know, some of us from certain backgrounds, we are going to investigate. We will tell our omay to tell us why such a thing should happen. Whatever message comes to us, we will go accordingly, because I know some people are the target. That’s why we are going to investigate it spiritually to know the cause of the deaths. We must go beyond the physical explanations and look into the spiritual realm to understand why this happened,” he fumed.

Mr. Gedzia added that the loss of the eight personnel, especially Dr. Omane Boamah, was a big blow to the Ho Central Constituency, as Dr. Boamah had promised to recruit youth from the constituency into the security services before his untimely death in the crash.

“This is a big blow to me as Chairman of the Ho Central Constituency and to the constituents,” he lamented.

He urged Ghanaians to unite in prayer and reflection as the nation grieves.

The crash, which has plunged the Volta Region and the entire nation into mourning, has sparked widespread calls for accountability, safety reforms, and a comprehensive probe.

While aviation and defence authorities continue with their investigations, the Ho Central NDC Chairman insists that spiritual leaders and traditional authorities should also be engaged to seek divine guidance and answers.
