Evatex sets records straight on GACL revenue assurance contract controversy

Evatex Company Limited, which has come under scrutiny over a revenue assurance contract with the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), has issued a statement addressing recent media coverage and public concerns about its involvement.

In a press release issued through its legal counsel, the company rejected claims that it secured the contract through improper or illegal means.

According to the statement, the agreement was awarded only after GACL obtained the necessary single-source approval from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), in full compliance with procurement regulations.

“At no time did Evatex bypass established protocols. All engagements were conducted via formal channels and with full transparency,” the company stated.

The response follows developments in an ongoing investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), which recently invited, arrested, and cautioned Paul Adom-Otchere, former Board Chairman of GACL, over alleged corruption linked to the deal.

Mr. Adom-Otchere, who has denied any wrongdoing, has since been granted bail.
